I know there are countless resources available to do almost everything I'm doing within this Lua, but I never found one that could do all I want it to do within one ImGui - or, if I could, I just wasn't savvy enough to figure out how. I decided to use the starter ImGui Lua:
Kindly written and provided by MrInfernal - thank you very much for piquing my interest and causing me to go down this rabbit hole.
I asked myself, "Self? What the heck do you want to do now that you've created a box army in the game?" The answer was simple. I want to raid. I proceeded to ask myself what sort of functionality I'd like, what sort of problems, headaches, or inconveniences do I wish to remove, and what is my end goal?
I'd like to see all of my raid members in a single pane of glass. To see their HP, Mana, Live/Dead, In Zone / Not. I'd like to be able to select their name to face them, right click them to foreground them... Well, I could always use boxhud, right?
From the professional, aquietone : https://www.redguides.com/community/resources/boxhud.2088/ is very handy indeed, but I find it doesn't accomplish the group/raid formation, and commands that I'm seeking.
Grouper! https://www.redguides.com/community/resources/grouper.2636/ , by Vandersl. Effing phenomenal for managing my groups, but doesn't scale up to my raids, which leaves me to pesky keybinds and macros to set up and manage my raid.
MakeCrew! https://www.redguides.com/community/threads/make-crew-bind.78150/#post-548519 , by eff I don't know who originally wrote it. Cannonballdex or SpecialEd? This is good stuff, but I didn't know about it until after I mentioned the Lua I'm working on in Discord and somebody mentioned it.
So here we are, stuck with BARF. I do want to give a special shout out to Kaen01 for the tip he provided me for handling the in zone vs not in zone checks. That one had me clawing my eyes out for several hours before I took the initiative to ask for help. I appreciate your insight into this!
So here it is, BARF 1.0:
Other shout outs to the helpful folks in Discord: Sic, Dannuic, Hytiek (who, for some reason, wishes fleas upon others), and "Perple" Derple. Thanks for answering my occasional, silly questions.
Lua - - Starter Lua ImGUI Window
MrInfernal submitted a new resource: Starter Lua ImGUI Window - Skeleton GUI window to speed up Lua creation When I was creating my first Lua, I had a lot of trouble just creating the GUI window. After quite a bit of trial and error, I was able to cut it down to the minimum to run the window...
