Hello to all, most of you may not know this but I am a huge fan of Horror flicks...
They have gotten better over the years... Starting with: Childs Play and Nightmare on Elm Street, to Friday the 13th... Then there was a breakthrough when SAW made its first release...

Then after SAW II came out and it tore audiences away...

Just recently a movie came out... I'm sure some of you may have seen it, and I saw it only yesterday [Friday the 13th :p] So, It is the long awaited HOSTEL, first thing you should know, its R rated, and there is a GOOD reason for it, there is a lot of nudity and strong sexual content in it. For the first 30 mins anyway. Then it starts to get scary... It is filled with mass gore so if you have a weak stomach, do not watch it. It nevertheless only made me cringe at one point. All i'm saying is it has something to do with 'seeing'.

Anyway, great movie, I reccomend it, and its not only filled with gratuitous violence there is a story line, where it may not be as articulate as Saw I and II, it was thought out well, and I am a great fan of Tarantino, all his movies rock!! Although, I also have a contest, i'm sure Creed will reward you with a custom title of your choice.... The question is, In the hostel, there is a TV, what is playing on the TV?

Well, thats all for my review! It blew me away, and I hope it does to you too!

Bah... haven't seen Hostel yet, not gonna see Saw II (Saw I had waaay to many plot holes for me). But Quentin Tarantino is an undeniably creepy guy... if you watch CSI, you probably saw the most recent one, where Nick (the main CSI dude) was placed in a glass coffin... anyways, it was one of those "if you think about it..." kind of creepy things. Anyways, Hostel looks like massive gore, but if you say it has a plot I'll check it out ^^

I don't care what was on the TV. And you couldn't pay me enough money to see that movie. Ok maybe you could, but it would have to be a damn good amount.

Pulp Fiction was on the TV in Hostel. And Hostel wasn't all that great. I heard about people puking in there so I REEEAALLY wanted to see it. I was dissappointed. If I hear people are puking I don't expect them to flash for a second a guy getting a drill in the leg. And that was pretty lame for a drill, I expected flesh and blood flying everywhere, but noooooo, it just had to be like giving a shot, but with a bigger needle. Only parts I really like were when he cut the chick's eye off and the garlic sauce from Papa John's came out, and when he cut the dude's fingers off then drown him in his own crap.

EDIT: Saw 2's storyline made up for the meager gore in Hostel. And Cabin Fever was just plain crap. Dawn of the Dead still holds #1 in scary movies, but I haven't seen many in a while.

I'm a fan of the Saw movies they aren't really scary they're more the movies that are just freaking awesome. I've yet to see Hostel I've heard good things and bad things about it. I just need to talk my g/f into going with me :).

Hostel was like Doom. You HAVE to see it, but it might not live up to your expectations. Me, being a Doom fan since playing original doom shareware when I was 8, has to see Doom. When I actually figured out what the point and storyline of Doom was, it became even cooler. When I heard there was a movie, four of us went and were all saying "It's Doom, I don't care if it gets a half of a star rating, or if the Rock's in it! IT'S DOOM!" When I found out that people became demons because of a bullshit 24th chromosome, I agreed with the people who rated it. It was beyond the title of "sucked".
