Does anyone happen to have a list of COTF / TDS rares for the ADVloot list to add to the actual EQ loot INI file?

I usually run with /adv on so I don't have one of my bots auto-looting everything. I know you can add items to the "loot" list that you haven't seen but figured it was worth a shot if someone already had it. Otherwise I guess I'll get busy on that at some point :p

Well a bit off topic, but advloot works pretty good. i use it to handle which loot goes to which char. the only problem is, that an item need to drop once so it get added to the list. there is a work around this, but its work to editthe advloot files to add items.

I have yet to find ANY txt based way to edit the file(s) so other then getting the item as a drop and adding it to the table, then sharing the table to all other toons, yuk

which result in iconID + ItemName > hover mouse over the icon or icon name and use the number at the end to get the itemID

or use raidloot search function enter lets say marauder and u get itemID + ItemName in a nice list > hover mouse over icon > open image in new tab/window to get IconID

Yeah I been tryin to use advloot, but my biggest complaint is if your toon dies during the current fight and is assigned loot then advloot hands it to you but will not loot it. so it rots! Its a bug! but it makes it so I have a ninja looter as backup anyway!

The loot will be locked out if you die during the fight, HOWEVER if you click on the corpse containing said loot it "unlocks" the loot, same as if you are not in the group for the kill, you can join the group, click corpse then have an item looted to you.

lmao if you click, yeah when boxing 11 computers with 9-18 clients per computer, there is very little clicking of boxes or corpses going on...

Trust me, I am getting REAL good at farming named gear with advloot, when it drops, click FREE GRAB then LEAVE on corpse, wish I could tell it to do THAT automatically!

Might ask one of the Developers oif they can add to the TLO: AdvLoot tools something that lets you know of the loot is locked behind needing to loot the corpse. Don't think anyone has thought of that yet.

I spent the last week or so updating the MQ2 wiki from patch notes, don't recall seeing anything about that specific situation.

An aside note... I found EQ's merge doth suck! or at least it is not as reliable as one could wish.... like the random list not moving over for me. Incase anyone else wants to do this manually and wants some helper tools...

I use Notepad++. It has a lot of nice features (specially if you take the time to set it up with the macroquest language)

Notepad++ is like MQ in that is has a LOT of plugins you can pick and choose from. Select Plugins-->Plugin Managers-->Show Plugin Manager

From the list you can get the "Combine" plugin to... well combines files! For instance I selected all toon files for one catagor ( say the AN files) opened them with Notepad++ and combined them into one file.
(click pluging --> Combine --> Start, leave options blanks)

Another plugin called "TextFX" or "TextFX Characters" allows you to strip duplicate lines, and puts them in order.
(Select the text to be sorted ( usually CNTL+A) then click TextFX--> TextFX tools--> (Make sure "sort outputs only unique" is checked, Make sure "Sort Ascending" is checked) then select "sort lines case insensitive" or "sort lines case sensitive")

and poof, you can take the list here , plus any of the "main" toons list that want to work with ( say for instance making a caster version , or tank version) or just combine them all if you want, and end up with a master list you can copy/paste into any toon you want and be SURE the list reads what you want it to.

Can be helpful if you are going to say maintain separate tank/caster lists, and want them all update as you discover new items to include/exclude.

Will provide oral pleasure to the person who adds all the backpacks to the list and crates that nameds drop throughout RoF as well as the TBM droppable randoms (strifetorn stuff etc etc)

If not I will probably add them within 2 weeks.

I recently was looking through Lucy and was wondering if we can take their large datafile to create the comma delimited format used for EQ loot lists.

We turn that file into a excel spreadsheet format breaking the three sections into column's accordingly. This would allow for custom search and sorting for ALL items in EQ. You could then do all kinds of crazy things to find and change your loot tables you want. Then macro that spreadsheet to output files into the text document type with the delimiting ^ character. Crazy I know... but a thought.

This kind of thing would allow you to do something like say farm specific Elegant Gear for a new team development or the turn in drops from HoThule expansion or whatever you have specific need at the time. This includes all those rare bags etc noted above actually. I tossed this around a few weeks ago but didn't really stop to take the time and muddle through the details and what it would take.
