I mostly use these bags on my characters (https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=114418).

I'm looking for suggestions on bag upgrades that are reasonably easy to quest or farm. I've tried doing some of the hunter achievements for the bag rewards, but it's so tedious getting all the namers to pop.

Seems like there must be a better way to get larger bags, so I'm throwing it out the community to make some suggestions. Thoughts anyone?

I think Hunter and buying from group vendors for mission currency are the real only ways (they are lore and only one per expansion though). There are some expansion wide rare bags but they are VERY rare and not really worth it over just getting hunters. I tend to just start at Call of the Forsaken since the smallest bag it gives is 32 slot and biggest is 40 but have done HoT on smaller characters since they upped those bags to 26 and higher.

What are some examples of the group vendor bags? To my embarrassment, I didn't know those bags even existed.

I didn't do any group missions until the Dead Hills.

If you select the expansion on EQResource and look at the group vendor it will show the bag for that expansion from the group vendor for alt currency.

I will echo what others have said here though, you really cant go wrong with hunter achievement bags. Just wait till a bonus spawn period and group all your guys in a raid and start knocking them out. You could easily knock out a few expansions worth of hunter in a three day bonus spawn period.

Thanks for the EQResource reference! I didn't realize you could look at group vendors that way. I'd drop you a redcent, but my subscription just ended yesterday.

They are, i've had luck just sending a tell to each of those little farm bot teams and negotiated to buy in bulk at a fraction of the cost. Helps em out, and reduces my risk. Works out well...the green 28 slots usually go for 750-1 mil on my server, dude agreed to sell em to me at 50k a pop...bough like a gazillion of each type of scuffed for alts

Found two collections rewards Fear Collector's Case and Frozen Satchel, and it looks like there is one container reward per expansion since CoT. That's a lot of rare collectibles to hunt down though. I guess I'll have to use overseer for collections rewards <shudder>. Seems like a lot of work ...

I did get this container Deep Caverns Collector's Case but it only holds collectables, so it only has marginal value in my bank.

carry some tradeskill bags if ur bags are always full most likely its because of that i carry 2 on my main toon and 4 on my bots and this clears up alot of space for other things. and u dont have to pick everything up. it just really boils down to managing what u pick up and what u dont imo.

its says its a rare drop but i use to farm that mission to sell them and got a ton of them

That is one of the expansion wide rare bags that has a small chance of dropping from any named in the given expansion.

Lucky you, I've leveled up and progressed multiple alts and only seen one bag from EoK and one from ToV. I don't do much grinding to be honest though, mostly get alt to 100 then missions and progression to get to 120 so might be that, lower volume of mobs and named.

So it looks like I found my thread and I wanted to add to the list for bags that drop for quick access if someone else searches bags.

Currently doing some items on test and looking to copy over dropable bags. Here is my list so far:

So good start right? I believe this is all the good ones 32 slot and above. If anyone knows any others please let me know.

Do people even need large bags at this point? I don't loot collectibles, except for the 1 time to click them, and I haven't needed more than 4 x 40 slot bags since ROS, maybe even earlier. I guess there are people out there that hoard collectables though. Personally wish they'd remove that junk and go back to vendor trash loot.

Yes, we need large bags! So we can fill them up with more useless stuff. I always have 1 or 2 tradeskill bags, 1 collection bag, and the rest are full of stat food, back up food, current weapon, back up weapons, click ports, Hero's forge, illusion, familiar, mount over flow from my key rings and tons of stuff I will get to later.

Many of us carry the collection bags because we have lots of alts and completing a collection can reward some really nice stuff (AA). Gotta have tradeskill bags for all that stuff I forage or find cheap on NPC.

Not sure what you want them to remove to go back to vendor trash loot? Collections don't go on vendors. We still have vendor trash loot, in fact I have a bag for that too! 😁

fyi for the currency bags, i havent checked all of them, but at least the LS, ToL, TBL, ToV bags can be placed in shared bank, so you can get 2 of them, and have 40 slotters in shared bank fairly easily

I used to ae farm the grounds for a while it was mainly because that zone drops a lot of plat loot (diamonds and parts that sell for 30pp each and stack to 20 and other sell gems etc) but i only got maybe 1 bag every 2 weeks its super rare. when they have bonus loot drops i normally get a bag or 2 there is a named that drops a lore 13 slot box other than that its not really that great except to get 82 no drop gear for alts.

I need them on my rogues, i normally have my rogue go around and get the collectables for my guys because they can sneak past everyone so big bags to hold all the collectables is good.

Main reason is when cycling alts, I want a bag set for each and the current list is plenty for me.

This isnt counting the group vendor bags as stated above. I didnt know you could place them in shared lol. Will be doing that now!

Mainly habit. Plus you've heard of dice goblins, well I'm a bag goblin (even in real life). Main use is on my tank though. Being able to just hoover up everything that drops and then sort out what goes in the bank, what goes in tradeskill depot, what goes to bazaar person, what gets vendorered, and what gets trashed (which I add to loot filter so I don't have to deal with it again). Though I usually keep a 10-14 slot bag as primary for holding food and the like. So I don't have to worry about individually selling items out of a 46 slot bag that has 10 slots of stuff I want to keep. So I can just bag sell stuff.

You can't even see all the slots at once. Like the last bag or two just shows up blank. Love my ui as well. It shows all the bags in the bank in the bank window open under tabs. So I don't have to try to fit all the bank bags onto my screen at once. But yes, even though I don't really need anymore bag space. I'm still going to collect all the bags. All the space
