Keep doing your starting town quests.. they are the best exp till your around 14 or 15

then start to venture.
Here is a guide from a shaman board: Starting Continent is Qalia

*1-7 newbie area in khal just follow quest line, I started as a mordebi and it took me through 8 quickly. I suggest grabbing 1 partner to speed things up.

*8-11/12---Dark horse race track- Again grab 1-2 people and plow this. THere is about 10-15 quests total maybe even upward into 18.

*11-13-- The Hive-- Quest/Grind
*11-14-- Quests at Naemog(sp) Bunker for surrounding area.

*14-16 Crocs in ToD insane exp little buggy pulling sometimes bring a CC
*14-16 Pirates in Zarabandi landing just to the west. 2/3 dots good for solo or group plow. A few quests in the area and decent coin.

*15-17 Oasis Dracosnaps were mentioned. If you are running from qa riverbank to TD they are righit after the hill drop off in the center of the chunk can't miss them> also a gnome camp with 5-6 quests there.

*15-18- Humanoid camp north of the East bunker in TD. Good exp/coin all 2 dots. Watch out the discple's heal so dps them down fast. A named spawns here with a 6wis 30hp+ belt or so.
*15-18- Hathor Zhi- Don't know how i forgot this one. Very good quests here has 3 step progression quests, and probably 10-15 quests total. It's an exp machine with many good armor/weapon upgrades. Don't pass this up. KEEP READING>> you will get a quest "To roll a Die"... this quests will give you negative 1000 faction with outpost and can make you KoS. I would suggest passing this quest, or having someone who can invis you when you do turn in's if you desire or are kos. invis works great and you can still turn in. You can plow through these solo at 18, but i'd bring a buddy or 2 and make a hayday of it for all 3 of you.

*16-20- Quest in Tauthien Delta they start from East bunker and take you to a gnome/dwarf guy that gives you quest for an island and the area. 3 quests or so he gives with a nice neck reward, and some named on the island. Worth doing.

*16-21/22---Cyclops in TD.. decent cash fast flow.. exp is sick you won't find better. The lizard quests in TD are also worth doing at this time. The clops won't support more then 2 groups to get good exp so also try out...Get the quests from the Upside Defense Garrison it has a 2 step cyclops quest and some solo quests.

16-21 alternative---Kalendra's Coven--there is a limitless supply of level 16-17 3 dots up top. Might even be better then clops i was already 20 when i checked it out. get a group at 15 and come own here would be great exp grind to 17/18 then hit clops til 21/22.

*20-22- The Defense Outpost Garrison provides you with some quests starting at 20 for Skrillien point/Tauthien Delta, the 2nd quest yields a very nice sword that is 17.8dps or so and +11vit 1handed. it's the longsword of lizard slaying I duo'd it with my friend i was 22 shaman he was 21cleric. I would reccomend at least a duo of 23 each because the mobs are hard to hit since they are 25/26. we hunted here for 30hours+ in beta in a tiny area so we know every pull/path, i would bring a FULL group if it's your first time as it's a very densely populated area with many 3 mob pulls. All mobs are 3dot and occasional name. the 3rd tier follow up quest is 24+ and yields very nice rewards.
