I am following the guide, and made my free account like the guides say, but there is no download button now. Do you have to pay to even test out the program before you even buy the extra scripts and macros?

You can get and keep a level 2 sub here on the forums that allows you to get the basic stuff here free. I will gift you your first month free - it will show up in a few minutes and you will have a black band under your name here that says "level 2"

Level 2 gives you access to Very Vanilla MacroQuest2, Macros (including KissAssist, the macro for all classes) exclusive plugins, and a great community.

Here is how it works:

The level 2 gives you the ability to give others Red Cents for good or helpful or funny posts. It does not cost you any to give and in giving them out it will also earn you more. If you make posts that others find funny, helpful, good question etc then they will give you Reds and that is 10 each time. So it...

By passing out and earning these "red Cents" you can use them to keep up your free level 2 each month. Just stop by the RedCents shop - click the Redcents at the top of the page to go there.

It only takes 50 red cents a month to stay level 2 so that is super easy since you can give out 4 a day.

So I just gifted that month free and you can get some cool stuff and you can also get started on giving out red cents on posts you like etc.

Welcome and enjoy!

Thank you for the quick replies! I am just returning to Everquest since the PoP days and I was so lost trying to find and navigate the site, there is a ton of information on here but it is massive overload for someone new like myself <3

Welcome to RG and welcome back if you're a returning player!

Always start here RG Video

Watch the vids Sic has created as they are your greatest source of information. I would even recommend watching them twice. Toon Movement - AutoGroup/AutoAccept/MQ2Yes - Basic Overview

Once you have an idea of how things work, you'll want to look into some automation options. Check out Kissassist Beginners Guide, Kissassist Commands , RGmercs, and especially cwtn plugins ( you can also /testcopy your toons and use the cwtn plugins there for free and you'll want to spend some time looking at CWTN Plugins Explained.). New as of Feb 2024, RG Mercs Lua Version

I suggest getting your feet wet slowly and be patient as it takes time to absorb all this information. Try taking your toons somewhere safe and lower level at first and explore the automation options. It takes some time to get used to, so don't be surprised it if feels overwhelming at first.

Once you feel like your're getting the hang of it (or to get a more in depth idea of what this site can do), then check out the plugins, macros, and lua's available to complement your automation. Things like MQ2pluginmanager, buttonmaster, mq2autogroup, MQ2Autoaccept, MQ2Status, GuildClicky, Boxhud, MQ2Buffme , Magellan and more. You'll also want to see Lua event manager.

How do you get to see and experience all of this you ask? You need to be a level 2 member. To do that you have 2 options. First, you can subscribe (paid method) or second, you can use Red Cents. What the heck is a Red Cent you ask? Red Cents can you help with your subscription and it's the currency this site uses. Contribute helpful information (post here) and others will give you red cents and each red cent you give others returns one to you. check it out! Red Cents

Time to subscribe to level 2 and begin a journey you won't regret. Lots of info and a super helpful community here to help when you get stuck.

There is a lot more here than I ever could have imagined! I think I am going to spend a day just reading over all the information and trying to understand how all these things work. Seems like you all have quite an awesome community here! Thank you for the additional info, I was very confused to say the least lol.

Hello!

Yes, its a great community.

Getting Started / Returning user

Welcome to RedGuides, fellow EQ multi-boxing enthusiast!

The best place to begin is our "New User Guide" video series, click this TV to watch:

This step-by-step series will teach absolute beginners how to control 6 characters at once while highlighting Nav, AutoLogin, and DanNet, which are fundamental plugins that will enhance every aspect of your game.

Returning users check out - MacroQuest Release Party: https://www.redguides.com/community/threads/macroquest-release-party.80628/ for information about changes from the legacy MQ2 to the new and awesome MQ

This community is the best and yes, there is quite a bit to lreanhere. My best advice is to have patience and take your time. The videos make it look like you can be a boxing god in seconds but it will take some getting used to.

Definitely do what they said and watch the sic vids. Not only do they provide detailed walkthroughs but you should sub his channel too because he also goes through more recent content missions with his group and they have been a life saver on how to get through some of the more frustrating missions.

I just got back from my hospital stay, will be looking over the videos and trying to learn the system the rest of this week while I recover. I have a basic idea after digger through some of the library files here on the site but I am a long way for fully understanding what this program can do. Thank you for all the links and for the advice! I am hoping to have this up and running with my little group by the end of this week while I look for a new job <3

Many of us are far from knowing everything it can do. No harm in jumping in an experiencing it as you learn. There isn't really a one size fits all and everyone does thing a little different. Be sure to check out the resources tab and review Lua, plugins, and macros that are available and don't be afraid to ask questions in their individual discussion threads.

I still find this overwhelming but the folks here have been great at getting you going. There always seems to be someone with an actual answer which is cool . Welcome back to EQ :)
