that means you either have to update EQ or MQ... its just a mismatch of versions

The date/time are hardcoded into mq2 along with the offsets/structs.

The date/time is primarily to verify that you are using the right offsets/structs for that version of eq. If you changed the date/time to match the eqgame version but didn't update those it would just crash.
