Chanter mac. needed! (1 Viewer)

I am in need of a good enchanter mac, my friend has a friend who we helped level after returning to the game. We're allowed to use him (chanter) and I wanted to be able to use him in group without much knowledge, never played a chanter before. I made a simple tash/slow key but I want a full on mac that will mez, slow, debuff, rebuff the group etc.

I would be greatly appreciative if anyone can post a good current working one. I looked on vip mq2forum but seemed like the stuff there was outdated from 08 or earlier. In any case, I'd like something that just works after I unzip it.

Thanks for any help!

You're going to need to setup an .ini for whatever macro you eventually use because most won't have any way to determine what spells you do or don't have. Without knowing what spells you have the macro will have issues determining what to use in what situations. So, with that said, unless you go pay for a custom macro or you get someone to help you step-by-step to set it up for your particular toon you will have a lot of issues finding a mac that's "ready to use" right out of the box.

Re: Chanter mac. (help me fix this one?) or new needed!

I know what you're saying, and I apologize for sounding completely newbtastic. I mean to say I know how to set up spells in an INI and that's not a problem for me, I just need a mac that works and doesn't give me errors. My MQ folder came with a bunch of stuff already since it was from a friend of mine. It has an old enchanter macro called just that, enchanter.mac but when i try to load it I get an error that goes along with one of the inc files. I commented it out but still getting errors. I don't know what to do at this point because I can't code. Anyhow, I'm just hoping someone can set me up with something that won't give me all these problems. I can probably post the macro here and see if anyone can just help me fix whatever the problem is.

EDIT: MQ2 VIP Mac Removed

Try this one out. It works flawless for me.

That macro is part of the Macroquest VIP community, so unless you're Nils and have authorized the release of his macros here I'd take them down.

If you want access to those macros you need to donate $10.00 to the MQ folks.

I removed Nils version fromm Fremders Post since that is his most recent version from MQ2 VIP.

The macro spyderz68 posted in not Nils but Rusty's and has been kicking around the forums for over 6 years. Technically its VIP but no has ever complained about it before so I am going to leave that one up.

Hopefully in the coming weeks I will have time and be able to get Kissassist working well enough for chanters.

Getting VIP access at Macroquest.com since its only $10 for what is basically a lifetime sub is highly recommended.

+1 for VIP Access. I've been there for years. I post as Dok over there.

I do admit that I get the two forums crossed up. I'm much more active here than there.

I like their site and product but I find it easier to use the stuff here. I'm not a programmer and I actually log in under a friends name there. :x It's a long story but I don't have 10 dollars to give myself right now. (back injury, temp disability, moved back home...) I subbed to NA for a year though before my temp disability ran out lol, I love you guys :)

The problem I'm having with this ench macro is the same problem I was having with the other, besides the other one giving me an error. The chanter was chain buffing us with salik and wouldn't cast the group novak even when I tried to change everything to novak and couldn't find salik anywhere in the ini. I'm probably mixing up the ini files or something but it says right in it, creates auto_toonname.ini and that's the one I'm editing. So the issues I'm noticing right off the bat is he will just sit there and not slow anything tash, mez etc. I'm having better luck just making a macro key with /cast 2, /cast 6, lol. Should I just set him up using kiss or is that chanter ready yet? I think I will just to have auto slows/tash and buffing.
