I'm posting this in the wrong forum pretty blatently, but it seems that this is the only forum the few EQ2 players here read. I honestly am considering going to EQ2 after the PvP servers come out because it seems as if they actually did some research on what PvPers like.

So, what this old Sullon Zekker is looking for is a good description of how PvP is going to be in EQ2 and a general description of how EQ2 compares to EQ1 (before it was totally gay, which would be around GoD for me, not sure how you other guys think of it).

SoE hasn't released any information on the PvP servers other than the fact they are going live with KoS, there will be no transfers, and that there will be at least 2 (one exchange, one not).

Holy crap... An exchange PVP server? That sounds like an awful idea.... Unless you just want to tear up level 70 noobs =)

I can't wait to see how they work the PvP system. After waiting for EQ2 for so long, I was bummed to see that there was no PvP at all. I think adding it, will make this beautiful game have a lot more flavor.

As far as an exchange server goes, well... if they don't have item loot, the exhange server will probably be like an EQ1 Stormhammer for PvPers. If they do have item loot, it will be more like an EQ1 Rallos (the way it operated in an unofficial capacity, before just about everything became no drop) there would probably be a lot of rich PKs selling items back to the people they looted from.

It's going to be interesting to see!

well about the pvp i cant say. But when i play an online game i want to group not solo so after soloing days in WoW i returned to EQ2 and was kind of disappointed to find the server populations have dropped but i still enjoy the game and it doesnt take too long to find a group. One thing that i noticed is that in the orginal press release that you got a free horse if you bought retail and now its a plant that if you feed it, it will give you a surprise

Me and one of my buddies went out and bought EQ2 last night. I like it so far. I hope the PvP is as much fun as it's made out to be.

The word on the street is that you will get exp for killing other players in PvP. Depending on how they work the system, us RedGuiders might be able to exploit the system for easy leveling =)

(Lining up 20 Goods and 20 Evils. Each person goes up and down killing all 20, then waiting for their turn to come up again)
