Few days ago I decided to glide a priest to 60, but ya know how tedious those first 20 levels are - so I figured it would be much easier just to buy some powerleveling from a well-known site (Thsale.com). They aren't the cheapest but I considered them one of the safest. So I changed my password, sent the payment for level 1 to 20, sent them the new account and logged off for the night.

I logged on in the morning expecting to play on the priest for a couple of hours to get the feel of it, but instead I got something quite different. I would appear as though Thsale.com took it upon themselves to login to my main character, disenchanted all my epics (Full tier 1, some tier 2, all my weapons) and they had deleted almost every item in my bag. Too say my jaw hit the floor would be an understatement...

So I changed my password and contacted Thsale.com. I spoke to them for quite a long time and they are saying it wasn't them, "it must be somebody else did it, our guy does not do this" - funny, because I did change my password before they started and they were the only ones on earth who had the new password. And, interestingly, when I asked for a refund and saying I wanted to speak to their boss - my firefox conveniently crashed, forcing me to close the Java chat window (so I couldn't get a transcript either).

And to make things worse, they didn't even get my priest to level 20.

Please spread the word, I wouldn't like anyone else to fall into their little trap... it's pretty heartbreaking to see someone trash the char you've worked on manually since beta =/

Spread the word.

on the roll back note they would see the change of password from his ISP adderess and then a login from a differrent ISP address and the subsequent changes to the charecter and finally his change of password the next day as long as he didnt change it from his old pass word to a new one and then back to his old one he stands a good chance of getting the roll back if he did change it back to his old one then his chances are VERY slim as SOE would look at this as he gave permission for the other person to play his account. On this one instance i speak from experience haveing watched the exact same scenerio happen to my best friend in texas only they took all his plat from all his toons sold all his gear and deleted all the toons he had (sad death of a lvl 70 cleric) and he was denied roll back from SOE wich is why he now plays WOW

SoE never denies you a rollback if you talk to the right people. And have a blatant instance where it's necessary, IE an account hack.

tell them you changed your password to something else as you thought people were trying to get access

then say they must've found out your new pass!
