Movie - DP&W (1 Viewer)

Unfortunately, with all the hype, it kind of killed it a little. Happens all the time. Too much hype = too much expectation = subpar experience

Glad for those that loved it!

I also avoided as much as I possibly could besides the initial trailer but I love Deadpool and I thank Ryan Reynolds for finally not doing him dirty and never giving up.
 
I really liked it. It was a little hard to follow at times, because I don't hear so well anymore, but I got through it ok. It only had one part where I cringed a little but nothing major, or that I can't get over lol. But I have to agree with Szazor here, Dune part 2 is still the best I have seen this year so far.

Anyone else shit their pants at the price of everything at the theater? I about died. $17 a head for tickets and that was with my old man discount. $23 for 2 med. drinks and a chips and cheese tray. Holy crap...I about died. I mean I am just not going to go anymore, at those kind of prices. I am not poor but man that is just ridiculous. Kind of where I draw the line. Just ain't gonna do it.

yeah it is really good, lots of fun!, i got really sick of marvel movies and this one was a love letter to comic book fans
you wont get bored the whole movie

Guessing you might be in California. I go to matinees here in (where I live) for 4.50 before noon but what you said resemble prices I saw in Cali when I was up there a month or two ago. The only reason I still go is those prices on where I live other wise I'd spool me up a plex server like everyone else I know.

it really was not funny it was stag net most i enjoyed about it , was that the TVA was involved gives me the opinion that maybe loki will be involved with deadpool moving foward ( PLOT THICKENS )
 
I have a version from *ahem* online means...I'm cash strapped plus kids home for the summer, so I'm not gonna be able to go see it anytime soon. I've been holding out since it was released and not wanting to see a cam, but I'm a fan and can enjoy the humor. Plus curious how it resolves getting mutants and X-Men and such into the Marvel movies that they could not do before. Using a comedy through a character like Deadpool is a great tool for that. My understanding is its a massive setup for Secret Wars, as a new major climax film. As I type this I'm saying oh shit, just give in and watch it tonight. :toot:
 
I thought DP&W was amazeballs. I'm pretty basic when it come to movies and don't have much expectation. But the talking to the camera narrative, the bringing back of the super-humans that didnt originally do well in the theatres, the by play and snarky butt comments ALL the way through. There were many times I had to put my hand over my mouth I was laughing so hard and loud. I thoroughly enjoyed it and will likely go back and see it again before it leaves the theaters.
 
It was amazing, its crazy how many hidden messages are in there. He has the best movies with how much he talks to the camera. 100 Times better then green latern.
 
SO.. im about to go see D&W... they ahve this new screen here called Screen X. i read about the new screen. seems its 270* screen around the walls, Curious if anyone has been to one of these screens and has some input on it, I dontwant to go spend the cash and end up wanting to go again and just use the IMAX if this ends up just being a wonky gimmick type deal.

Pretty sure the movie is gonna be awesome so... looking more for input on the screen X deal.

feel free to talk about the movie though. pretty sure the 3 billion advertisements have taken care of any spoilers already lol.
