My 2nd question of the day (I didn't want to include this in the same thread because it is a totally different topic). I am 60% into 124 and just finished Ring of Scale progression. I just need 40% more to ding 125. I am looking for suggestions as to where to go to get that last 40%. I have expansions up to LS, but not the newest one yet. Just need a place to go to get that last little bit.

Any and all advice will be most welcome. Thanks in advance.

Thanks all, I appreciate the answers. Any preferences on zones to do this in? I was thinking about LS, I would think it would offer the best exp.

There are a few things to consider:

Method #1 - Grinding mobs

The XP rates come down to your DPS. The faster you kill, the more XP you get. If you move into an expansion and struggle to kill anything then your XP rate is going to be shit.

In general find the lowest level , dark blue con mobs you can and grind those out.

Method #2 - Progression

You can get some good XP rewards for completing various achievements related to progression. These stack holiday XP bonus events so it often good to "save" them for the holiday. Things like the group missions in ToV, ToL and LS all have big ~ 20-25% of a level bumps.

Method #3 - Overseer

Running overseer 24/7 will net you anywhere from 3-10%+ of a level per day depending on close to maxed out you are.

If you are the type to enjoy grinding out mobs in a camp then you absolutely want to do double dip and do it in a spot where you are also going to get augs. If you like questing then pick the progression in ToV,ToL or LS and do some missions or quests.

meh...I wouldn't bother going for the lowest level dark blues unless you don't need anything besides experience. It's a waste of time if you do. Camp gear; do hunters, do missions. It was only about 10 hours/level before they increased the regular experience rates a couple months ago. I measured that in LS while doing about 2.6 million DPS and average around 5 now with that same group. I also measured it to be around 11 hours in ToL with that group at 1.2 mil DPS for level 116-120. 2.6 is easy to hit with t1 LS weapons, and autogrant aa..heh :P You only need 40% for the level, it isn't really worth thinking about. Just gear up and you'll hit it long before your gear needs are met. You're only 4 hours or less away from it.

the bunion "camp" in tim falls is great if you have a rogue or zerk. its all humanoid mobs (east area of the zone). i run toons from 95 to 125 there (again rog or zerk make this an easy camp) just put your driver in huntertank mode with a 360 degree range at an arc of approx 600 and voila

you also mentioned you just finished ROS progression. Go ahead and do TBL progression. That will finish you out level wise, plus you'll want the jann veil from the achievements. Excellent little boost for your team.

Just throwing this out there again. They put 2 new levels for the daily hot zone in - level 100 and level 105. Been doing these with some 125's and they are getting about 22 AA and if a lower level in the group they get good exp. These are the kill 5 from Teek. Very easy. In and out

Also don't forget the Tower. Someone on here said they were getting 2% but I am max on exp so only doing them for the currency. But worth checking them out only because they are so easy and fast.

Another spot is Hero's Forge. Do the merc quests (also do the partisan if you haven't already). Each merc quest is only 5 kills - kill the Spiritforged. Running a lesson/pot you can get good exp and then redo them. They regularly pop named mobs too.

If they are too hard, the mercs in Tim Falls work too.

I can't like this enough. With lessons and normal xp, these 3 give about 105 aa for 15 mins of work. Regular xp would be good as well.

You could do the Tides of Time keys. There are 12 keys that give 2% each. You can do them multiple times.

Grab the key, click on it to turn it into a container. Then grab another of the same key. That will allow you to do them twice. That will give you 48% exp after it’s all said and done.

You can easily do this in a few hours, maybe half a day.

Thanks to all here and Merry Christmas!

I did it, I dinged 125, yay, "cheer"! After almost 2 years of effort I finally did it. What a long, slow trip it has been (with a couple of "burnout breaks"), but I learned a ton (about EQ and MQ) from it.

I was already doing the Overseer (yes I am maxed out) 2x a day. That was good exp, about 5-10% a day, just depended on what quests the RNG gives you. I had all 12 keys for the Tower and didn't know that you can run them again for exp. So I did some more research and decided on Firefall Pass in NOS. I knew about the "more mobs you can kill" thing and applied it to this effort. Killing lots of blue and light blues is the way to grind. So I went there to see if I could get another bag from the Hunter named's (is that a word?). I ended up with 4/6 so not too bad. I tried 17 times to get that stupid Saurek Named to spawn and gave up on it in disgust. Also did the Merc quests while I was at it, lol they gave .5% per quest. I only needed 30% total and it was easy. Then I went to the Tower and got my new "invisibles", and changed out all my augs. Sheesh what a PITA that was.

Thanks again for all the suggestions, I always appreciate the efforts you guys go to, to help someone out.
