Question - Healing a pet tank? (1 Viewer)

Hi all, having trouble getting my shaman to heal my mage pet when it's tanking. He'll heal anyone else in group but wont heal the mage pet. Help would be much appreciated

but in general your Healers will not heal pets other than their own.
but if you (in Kissassist) put the pet in Xtarget window of shaman and activite it to heal that Xtarget window slot, he should heal pet.
Or use one of the other mac/plugins described in other thread.

as a mage I always, ALWAYS spend the money on daybreak cash to buy the Potion of Companion's Amnesia it cost 250dbc and it lets you set a name that your pet will ALWAYS be, makes coding him in macros SO much easier!

Hrmm seems my shammy turns his extended target slots back to "auto" soon after i put pet in there. Any idea why? Also is there a standard shammy bot you guys could point me towards?

Don't use slot #1.

personnaly i use shaman as main healer (with an hybrid for back up ) i use hot as an aura (Shear of Renewal|aura ) so all group have always this for rampage ae (and pet always heal if aa buff ) .
and i use instant aa heal too (single and group instant heal) at 30 and 25 percent hp (can save the bard or chanter , or the main tank during ae mez

But if you truly using the pet as main tank, start KA with Shaman targeting that pet, and set heals to cast specifically on MA.

Note: If you use the |pet notation, It will only cast on that toons pet.

I would agree with most of these replies.

1. Make sure your pettank has a name.
2. Target the pet when starting Kiss
3. Make sure heals and buffs are specific to MA where needed
4. Try Xtarg healing with pet on xtar 4.
