Ok I'm new. Off to a rocky start and I need to know where to ask questions. One that I would like to ask here. I use , and . for f7 and f8 cycling. When I use the . period it goes to the MQ window? Do I really need a keyboard shortcut for that window? How do I remap this and keep it with what I am used to.?.?

Best advice I can give you, is look at the overview of a thread and watch any videos that go along with it. Somethings might be confusing at the start, but you will get the hand of it at some point.

Asking questions is always welcomed and the community here will almost always answer questions, you might not like the answer but they normally do. Just make sure you're asking the question in the correct category.

I guess that was a bit abrupt. I finally decided to check MQ out. I was getting tired of characters going into orbit when the puller gets summoned and the other characters get flung off into adjacent rooms, hallways, tunnels or some conveniently placed fjord. Getting the cleric snagged by a bookshelf and really needing that heal. I was tired of having to target quest givers with each one.

I started 2 boxing during Classic. 3 Boxing during Kunark. I've taken a couple 3 year breaks. I've always been mediocre and well I'll still be mediocre all day long. But MQ will lighten my burden a bit and make it more enjoyable. I have some videos to watch a few times. I just realized where the Plugin bar has been minimized. I won't be asking about that one at least.

Off to set my clock back. G'nite

To change the key bind so you aren't selecting the MQ window with period, open your ini file which you can access from the system tray MQ icon



Under Key Binds (line 196 for me), 3rd value for me is:
MQ2CHAT_NRM=.
Change that to whatever you want.

Comma also shows up, but I don't know how or when it is used
Near the top, line 32:
IfDelimiter=,
