Question - Logging in to random zones? (1 Viewer)

Here lately, when I login my group, some of the members will pop in random zones for whatever reason. This has happened a couple of times now, most of my group logs in and spawns where I left them, in GH, but one or two toons will spawn in random zones. Today one of my toons is in HoT for no reason, have not been in this zone in a really long time. Yesterday one toon popped by the port to the Trials of Smoke. Other zones I have randomly logged in to are PoK, PoT, Everfrost and Stratos. Seems pretty weird. Does this happen to anyone else?

if you log out in your guild hall, and when you log back in, there is no one in your guild hall - sometimes it takes a while for the guild hall to "spin up". when this happens it will kick your toons to one of the LDON zones or recently also to some other weird places like the zone in to the last instanced zone you were in

one of my toons almost always gets kicked to permafrost
i have another that gets kicked to one of the tvicia (spelling) zones

Everfrost is a common one for me. Toons logged out in guild hall, the guild hall isn't loaded when I go to log in, one or more of my toons will spawn in everfrost, some will get into the guild hall. Not sure of the cause but pretty sure it's by some design.

Question, If I am camped in Guild hall, how could I be moved to South Ro next to Raid camp. I have changed my password twice. If someone tried to access my account, after changing password, I should get an email. This has happened three times in the last three months. Any thoughts?

Guildhalls are instanced zones, if no one is in them for a while they are spun down to avoid using resources.

when you log in, and was camped out in a guildhall it will first have to spin it up again, and often that takes longer than it takes for your toon to log in, so they often dump you near the last instanced zone you zoned out of, or in the zone that instanced zone is located.

so no one is hacking you and moving you to south ro

This is 100% correct

if you wish to avoid the south ro, you can start the hatchery quest in pok, next to the main bank, then when you get inside drop the quest and it will kick you out, and you will appear in pok, and next time your guildhall doesn't spin up in time, you will appear in pok

Hoping someone can clarify for me. The 1st toon in two different groups is logging in, in the wrong zone from where they last logged out in. Specifically, in one group, my Wiz is logging in, in the Anniversary Tower when she was logged out (the last time) in the Guild Hall. The other is my Mage, logged out in Guild Hall and now logs in, in South Ro, outside one of the camps that is used for the 1st Anniversary mission (the orc camp). OBTW these 2 groups are on different accounts, one is all 6 gold and the other is all 6 FTP.

The other strange thing happening is when I shift B to open all my bags the last bag only shows 21 slots out of 32. The bag retains the proper shape to hold 32 slots but the slots are transparent. And yet when I close all bags and just open that one bag (manually by right clicking on it) all the slots appear. Also this just happens on my lead toon of the group, my tank, or driver. All the other toons operate as normal as far as bags are concerned. And NOT the same toon as above. Any ideas?

This is very weird, never had these happen to me before. Just started after this last patch. Anyone think these were solved after the emergency patch yesterday? Or I should say "addressed"? Anyone else experiencing these phenomenon?

for the zone issue, its because the instance of your guild hall hasn't spun up yet from no one being in it for a long period of time, in which case it drops the toon to last zone it was in before going to the GH. if the zone was an instance then it drops you outside and ldon or PoK.

The guild hall is not a permanently active zone, it goes offline if it is empty for a while. When you log back in your character will be in a different zone because the guild hall hasn't spun up yet.

Folks have pointed out the instance/spin up lag.

The other issue came in last year about this time, i THOUGHT it had been fixed EQ side (look on official forums) If it it not the EQ bug, are you hitting max draw limits? though i dont think that effects bags?

this is a pretty frequently asked question - please make sure to search before posting a new thread

you are likely using a bank mod that shows all your bank slots at the same time.

that's the reason i changed the zliz that kaen and i maintain

The only way to fix the logging into weird zones is to NOT camp out in the Guild Hall unless you have a large guild so that it never goes empty.

It is totally random as to which players get it, when they get it and where they go. There are no plans to fix it. Camp in the lobby or such

Thanks guys, I never knew that, about the GH. I am sorry I didn't do a search first. I wasn't thinking right. I really thought it was something new, sheesh I should know better.

And Sic I am using a mod, at least I think I am. I use Balfor's compilation and I think it has a big bag or big bank (or both) mod in it. But this just started to happen recently. I thought it was the patch but after looking at it I did download a new version of Balfor just recently too. What I don't get is that it only happens on one toon. It just doesn't make much sense.
