Well in between school work I am back to LOTRO. It has improved DRAMATICALLY with the Mine of Moria expansion. So far I have leveled my Lore-master to 52 in the new area (Eregion) with some nice challenges. The quests are not the same boring ones each time where you feel as though it is beating you over the head with it. Elites have somewhat been toned done a bit, they are still out there, but there are more signatures now to defeat. Making questing a bit easier. I can't wait to hit 56 and get my new Lore-master pet (looks like a cougar and hits multiple target with frost).
I have already gotten a few items that are legendary (except for the wrong class). The quests alone are giving items comparable almost to the highest tier of crafting. On that topic now there is also a tier higher than MASTER (or whatever was considered the highest before) -- So even more crafting to get. I have heard that Moria and other areas are more instanced, and in fact just finished a few instanced solo quests that eventually lead up to Moria.
Compared to Evendim the area is so much better put together. Each progresses a bit higher (very sightly), and the paths between them although scattered with mobs, more are the type that do not instantly aggro, but give warnings before attacking. While you can get adds from time to time, it is not overly done. Also if you are like me, and return after just over a year or more, you will have rest xp all the way to 60.
I have to say I was surprised. I am in a small guild of non Eq'ers, just some friends I met on Menaldor over two years ago if anyone else returns.
