lol I found this too funny. Considering that they take all of our idea's and put them on next expansion. Map function, Stay in corpse after death, etc. I guess we are the brains of SOE now for new idea's

New Expansion!

Coming soon to all of EverQuest, progression server included, is a new expansion (the expansion name is not yet released). Included in the expansion will be a huge amount of content, including ten new levels, a new starting city and new content from level one to eighty. Also in the update are some much needed alleviations to the grind. Previously, characters would have to spend 20 to 45 minutes regaining health and mana between battles. In the next update, rest times will be much, much lower when out of combat. Devs are also looking at ways to modify death to make it less stressful. For example, instead of zoning out of your body right away, you can hover over your corpse and wait for a resurrect, thus cutting out some zoning time.

Every February and September for the last few years. They are on a 6 month ship cycle on average, we should just expect it.

That was posted about 3 months ago or so. So far the devs have already said the level cap will be 75 and not 80 though and that 80 was a rumor someone started. Also, the progression server has been in beta for about 3 weeks now and it's shaping up to be pretty cool.

80 was a reporter taking what one of the devs said as a possiblity and making it a truth to the world. They said 5 or 10 levels and the reporter just got the 10 levels part.

Many of this new "functionality" was ripped from MQ2 LONG ago by SoE. Your group showing up on the maps and the "Body Hover" thing have been in EQ2 since day one. It seems many things from EQ2 and MQ2 have been and are still being added to EQ. Which is a good thing IMO. A lot of the reason many of us use MQ2 is because we feel that SoE left out some very handy features that make everyday EQ life less stressful that only MQ2 can provide.
