Playing Everquest Behind a Firewall (1 Viewer)

Does anyone know how to configure a system to play everquest behind a firewall, say at work or at school?

Any help would be appreciated.

not sure you would be able to without opening the ports needed to play or having admin access to change the proxy server if there is one. Could be wrong, but it really depends on how the firewall lis set up and what kind it is.

JC I have this problem also .. playing from Iraq.

I have the PSWD and info for my local router.. and I have opened up my ports..

But the problem is They have blocked the Ports on the recieving end of my signal .. and I can't get into that one. lol

There are ways to hack into the router and slip the info into the config file

but that was 15+ years ago for me..and I am not up on all the hip ways to do that anymore

ok here is thought ... it worked for me over here

make the shortcut to eqgame.exe ..

rightclick and add patchme at the end of it ...
example E:\EverQuest\eqgame.exe patchme

make sure your patch is uptodate... if need ed get the files from someone..

I used FTP to get the files i needed

and u should be good to go

patcher is on separate port from EQ itself...

EQ is on same port at internet explorer... so doesn't get blocked
