problem with inactivity (1 Viewer)

Hi guys,

I asked around in EQ and in forums, no solution. So I thought I ask here, maybe someone knows.

I changed my router about week ago and after that I'm allways kicked off from the server if I AFK more then hour or two. It's really bad with traders up, allways back on server screen saying Iv been disconnected.

Router is ok and I can play 8-10 hours without getting kicked off once. Any ideas?

also monitored my internet connection. no downtime, so connectivity is not an issue

There may be a "Keep Alive setting" which is set in seconds usually max is 28000 before it trys to request a new IP.

Also check the configuration of your NIC, it may be set to go to sleep to conserve power, its just a single check box.

i changed the router swapped from 3COM to cisco. works fine again I was behind cisco at office, so bought one home aswell.
