Well having only played my friend's ranger (he paid me to get him some AA's before) I can tell you one thing. That 62-65 with Archery AA's are the only time that archery will be your best DPS. Otherwise you will have to melee to improve your DPS.
Other than that, it's all about getting those DPS mods like other DPS classes. Accuracy, Attack, Fero Item, Cleave Item, Sharpshooting Item, etc etc.
