Problem - Shm 1.5 cannot start, need help (1 Viewer)

With shaman 1.0 spear in hand. I head to the 1.5 Wolf on the second floor and talk to him but he will not respond, as if I have not done the 1.0. I am not invis or 'illusion-ed' or anything. I run this both manually and using Epic Lazy. I have done 3 other shamans using Epic Lazy by the way and all others ran smooth, so its some other issue.

Here is what I 'think' I know.
I may have killed something that changed my faction with the quest giver. Current Shaman gets no response and cons Dubious. A 2.0 accomplished Shaman cons indifferent. So perhaps I killed something somewhere? I cannot find what faction the 2nd floor wolf is (I also tried the basement wolf from 1.0, can run everything ok).
Alla has 1 post about the identical issue, but never had a resolve that I see.I can't see anything using Google-Fu about this.

I have looked to see during the 1.0 quest a faction called TrueSpirit is raised for parts of the quest. But I can't see much about it, if its even linked for 1.5/2.0 anyways. That said, I have attemptd tp test to see if redoing parts of the 1.0 again would raise TrueSpirit and see if that resolves anything. Shot in the dark, but I'm at a loss. I can only get so far in the 1.0 redoing but I can get a small boost of 100 point faction raise doing the beginning to the Ocean of Tears undead guys part. I;ve done it 3 times and no change to the 1.5 Wolf. Still no response.

I tied Shrouding to a Rog and using Hide/Sneak, nothing. I tried becoming an Enc, but there is no charm. I have yet to try if the 1st monster shroud is completed, it looks like it has a charm.

I tried going to the next part of the 1.5, the Ancient Megalodon , but same thing, the NPC does not respond nor will the Megalodon spawn, so its likely due to no flags from the 1.5 Wolf.
I am hoping for any thoughts/advice/or info you may know of fixing this so I can continue on. Thanks in advance.

My understanding is if your faction was not good enough he would tell you that you are not ready, have bad breath or on that line.

During the Shaman epics each flag and hidden flag raises your faction. So the 2.0 accomplished Shaman would be showing the ending faction level prob not what you should be yet.

Thought I heard that shaman faction resets to 0 after completing the 1.0

But the problem here is he is not responding at all.

Even though this is for Progression servers, I have found all the epic walk thrus here to be the best even on live.

I just did a 1.0, 1.5, 2.0 last week on a modern EQ server. When I did the 1.0 I do remember my faction being knocked down at the end, I'm sure that is still a thing. Whether the same faction is used in the 1.5, I can't say.

I have never checked my faction beforehand, I just targeted him after I did 1.0 and said "find the will", so I can't tell you what that "should be". In fact, I also remember him not saying anything to me on a hail, forcing me to look the stupid phrase up. I use the same guide as you.

Pulling this out of my ass entirely, but perhaps quest items from a step you aren't on, I know there are reports of having 3 bleak fungus breaking things until you drop one; etc. Maybe you have an item tripping something up.

I've seen reports of needing epic equipped, some say in inventory, not sure any of that matters. When I did one last week it certainly was not equipped. It was in inventory. I can't speak to other's experiences.

Hope you get this sorted sooner, rather than later.

Yes. Hailing, find the will and I am a shaman. Following Alla and the EQ progression, on top of using Epic Lazy, which I have used previously for 2 other shamans and did the 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0 all back to back. Plus have done it manually before I bought EL.

I do not really know if its a faction thing, its just a guess. Its the only thing I know that happens to be different I see so far. But..the guy who posted a similar issue said he conned indifferent. In any case, I don't know what faction the 1.5 Wolf is on anyways. Grr.

In going over your guys' posts, I saw two things that could be something to try, so I'll give it a shot. Redoing the 1.0 did give me some faction, but I can't turn in the Dire Pelt to continue, odd. I can do the starting and do it until the Dire Pelt. But again, I don;t truly know if that TrueSpirit faction is what I need. Stupid EQ mystery code.

I did the 1.0 in era on Oakwynd then did the 1.5 and 2.0 back to back when OOW released and never had a problem or had to work on faction. Maybe petition it we had a warrior in our guild that had to petition he started his pre quest then did his 1.0 and couldn't start his 1.5 till they reset him

So i just logged on my shaman and ran to FP the spirit cons Indifferently to my shaman. I haven't done anything since i finished the 1.0 faction wise. I went to BB and killed Pegleg to get the spirit to spawn and it conned Indifferently as well i got the tiny gem and went to FP and turned it in got 200 truespirit faction under my faction list i'm listed as amiably and still indifferent to the spirit in FP. So i'm not sure how to raise faction with him.

I'm doing the Bard 1.5 now at 65. Think 2.0 might be level 70

Should I know you?', and then follows through with all the text as expected. When you turned in the Scale in Emerald Jungle, I believe you get your epic on turnin, but there is some dialog after that. Might try heading back there and going through that one's dialog.

I'm pretty sure Truespirit is not linked to 1.5/2.0 in any way, don't ever recall seeing any reference to it beyond the 1.0. On a shaman who hasn't done 1.0, I get 'It appears you are not ready for the great tasks...' and refers me to lesser spirits.

If you want to bump Truespirit, just in case, the part to repeat is the stuff in W Karana and Rathe Mountains - you can do those over and over.

You cant bump true spirit faction by repeating parts of the quest since around 2019 when they adjusted the quest.

@Hazzard I tried some oddball things and retried and all was still no response, so I took a drastic measure (to me) and Deleted my 1.0. I mean worst case was I will have to pay 5 bucks for a Token of Reclamation if I got stuck...but anyways, I redid and finished my 1.0. Immediately went and started 1.5 from scratch, and FRUSTRATION...same thing.. no response... BUT..this time 1.5 Wolf cons indifferent (from dubious before I redid the 1.0). Does this mean anything? No idea. Stuck again though.

did you go though all the text at the end of the 1.0 like was suggested here? I don't think they are linked to True spirit faction as the wolf in the basement cons Ambialy to my shaman and the 1.5 wolf is indifferent so they are on different factions. I really have no clue dude the only thing i can come up with is that you may as much as it sucks have to petition to get them to start it for you. We had a warrior in the guild that started his pre-quest then did his 1.0 and couldn't start his 1.5 till he got the GM to start it for him the guy in Dranik scar wouldn't talk to him even with his 1.0 equiped. By chance did you start the pre-quest then do the 1.0?
