Anyone here get in the beta for SoD?

Curious about how effective the mercs are.

I just recently re-subscribed to EQ just to get up to date to try out SoD when it goes live and wondering if its a worth while change for soloists or small group players. Or if they just completely suck.

I don;t think they are too bad at all. I used one and had it set on reactive and it did very well despite the fact I got mobbed by 5 DBs. It kept me alive through the entire fight, and mind you I play a berzerker, so it's not ,like there was a defensive running hehe. They have several different settings ranging from efficient, reactive, passive, and aggressive. As for the tanks, well, I am not sure how useful they are. I didn;t die while using the healer merc, but i heard if you die and the merc survives, it also resses you, will let ya know if I venture back that way again, waiting on my shaman to get sent over there as well so I can tackle more content lol.

I Run either a Sk or a wizard, with a shaman on second account so I can now run the wiz/sham if the tank is worth a shiz. We shall see.
