Problem - tank moveing back and forth... (1 Viewer)

lately i have some problems with my tank. out of nowhere he stops a bit away from the camp and turns back to camp and then to a mob to pull, but doesnt move at all. he is just spinning round and round and doesnt pull any longer. what could be the reason? lag maybe?

make sure you are in 1st person mode, mouse wheel scrolled all the way forward, and you are not in "look" mode move the mouse, if the whole screen moves you are in look mode, simply right click on the screen and it will stop....

Mob walked out of Line of Sight?
If for whatever reason, your bow shot does not aggro the intended pull target, the puller (tank) will turn back around to try to aggro again. After a few attempts, or a set time elapses, the tank should give up and return to the camp. Then the puller will select another target. If for whatever reason your puller is getting caught in some low spot Line of Sight problem area, they might get stuck in that loop of attempting to pull, waiting for aggro, and attempting again.

Same thing happens when pulling with DoT Spells that resist. Even though the puller does aggro, the spell did not "land" so the puller turns back around facing the mob and casts again, while getting it's face beat.

Try changing from your bow and arrow pull, to a shorter range DD nuke spell or perhaps Melee pull just for testing. See if moving in closer clears up this pull/aggro loop.
