Hi all,

Ive run several toons up to about 30 on the TLP, but i am looking to make the next incarnation the 3box that rides the entire trip.

I have next to no experience with EQ Prior to OoW/DoDh, and then i was new, left and came back in HoT. I am looking to make a trio that will last from Inception until the TLP catches up to current.

I do not AFK, i typically Use Kiss to manage my healer, and if im lazy 1 other toon. Mostly its the /stick and map that i just cant live without. ( and kiss heals better on any healer then i do)

I know i want my center piece or main to be a Monk,

1) Monk, Sham, SK
2) Monk, Sham, Necro
3) Monk, Sham, ?
4) Monk, ?, ?

I have no requirement other then the monk class. I do not want any form of mage or multi mage box teams. I have no desire to be end game raider, and have no issue grinding to level up then going back to camp gear if i need the levels to make up for group power. I am aware that the team will have ups and downs as the expansions come, and am looking for a solid combo come end game. Please remember i want to start on the current TLP so pretty much one class Must be some sort of heal and from my limited experience, if you don't have at least 1 class that can snare, Plan on very long unproductive nights.

Monk Shaman Bard is always a fun trio, you will feel the bard is ultimately worthless because the monk can pull, but selos, mez capability, invis capability and the fact bards are just overall useful will help you out.

You could also do Monk, Shaman, Wizard or really any Monk, Shaman, DPS class.

I've found in the higher expansions Monk, Shaman and a tank (warrior is always best it seems) will take you a LONG way.

You have DPS/Puller, Healer/slows, and a tank!

If you want to embrace the Kunark era, Iksar Monk, Iksar Sham, Iksar Necro. IF not, I do believe the only other monk option in Human, and I'd probably go with Monk, Druid, Chanter.
Both cases would have snare (but root, if used properly, can be just as effective), Both have heals, both have haste and slows...Iksar brand would be more DoT orientated, Human would be More Nuke orientated... Druid version would have ports.. Iksar version better AC, and HP regen.

Monk druid chanter is a good combo, because of the cc, slow, haste, ports, sow and heals - which will be enough with slowed and cced mobs. After pop you can exchange the druid with shaman, but i would not play without snare and ports on tlp.

monk shaman (sk or pal) might work well too.

the monk & sk can partner to split well, the sk (or pal) can fill in some healing (self for sk) and shaman buffs / slow is very valuable for a long time.

just a thought...

Giving Monk Shaman Necro a shot. I have a feeling it will be slow going, especially the first few expansions without C, Rez or Ports, but i hope long term it works out.

I would switch necro with druid then. Really, i *PROMISE* you will hate it without sow/ports.

Better do a new char in luclin and replace the druid with an necro if you want it. Then you dont waste time for AA's on the necro, and level an char to 60 while Luclin is fast. And it look like you have to live 9 month till Luclin on ragefire.
