Anyone know how to turn off all of the damn Administration privledges needed to do anything in Vista? It's causing problems with the compile, as I cannot save the files I'm changing while in Visual Studio. I keep getting Access is Denied messages.

OMG! Thank you slandaro! You just solved every single problem I was having with Vista. Everything is working as it should now.

100 RedCents from me (as soon as I can get Yammerz to add them!)

np glad i could help heh i downgraded all my machines do xp cant stand vista resource hog and yes those pop ups about admin rights and such are very annoying. Besides needed to make sure you get your compile on here hehe thats the one i use ;)

WHAT THE HELLLL does Vista make you run everything as administrator for anyway? I don't understand it at all, it's so damn irritating. I'm going to look at that link you gave to, I might even downgrade to XP also. Vista is the "newer" version of Windows, but XP is definitely the better version. Vista's got XP beat on looks, that's it. But you can easily get a Vista theme for XP anyway.

Win 7 has similar issues with admin but just right clicking and starting the program in admin gives it rights too change shit.

Yea nyghteyes wait a while, right clicking everything to run in administrator is going to get very irritating.

Yea some programs for whatever reason won't even LET me run as administrator, when I right click it's just not an option. I never really looked into it though, and also every time I download something I have to extract to my desktop or somewhere like that and then move because I don't have privileges to extract in C:.

EDIT: I can easily see this turning into a vista rant that never ends.

I agree. And for programs such as Visual Studio, it doesn't let you for some odd reason.

anything that is not vista you might try installing it in the program filesx86 folder you might find it plays nicer with fista in there
