I don't want to use all the advanced configurations.
You don't have to use them. You can use /yalm setitem
and it will behave similarly to Lootly. You can even do a /yalm convert lootly
and it will import your Lootly item list.
Where is the GUI?
YALM is still a work in progress. I'm trying to iron out the kinks, implement needed functionality, and get command line configuration support working. Once that's done and I consider YALM to no longer be WIP, I will work on the GUI.
Why is YALM not handling items for solo looting?
You probably have auto loot turned on in advloot settings.
Why is YALM not looting or giving items to the wrong person?
The first thing to do is a /yalm reload
on all your group members. If you edit the configuration files, you must do a reload.
The second thing to check is the save_slots
setting. The default is 3. This will ensure that you keep that minimum amount of inventory slots open. This is useful for when you have groups that summon items, bandoliers, etc.
The next thing to check is the always_loot
setting. If this is on, then items will still be looted if they don't pass the quantity
and list
check.
Lastly, usually your rules aren't setup like you think they are. Item properties in EQ can be extremely inconsistent. You can do a /yalm check
with the item on your cursor or supplying the item name. This will tell you the calculated preference. You can also do a /yalm simulate <item_name>
to simulate looting that item so you can debug your rules.
Can you add tradeskill depot or dragon horde support?
Sadly the only way to automate that is extremely hacky as it requires setting mouse cursor position. Until a better way to interact with those two windows is implemented into MQ, there won't be support for it.
Why doesn't YALM handle X, Y, or Z?
While I used to play EverQuest from release to Planes of Power, I'm extremely new to modern EverQuest. There's a lot of things I don't know about. Post on the thread or message me on Discord.
