Yes, I believe they are moving all their games to new hardware. Possibly a new datacenter?Anyone know if this takes test server offline also?
it will take everything down. their services are down during this data migration to new hardwareAnyone know if this takes test server offline also?
Weren't they just bought from a company somewhere in Europe? Smart move would be setting a strategy that moves them and their development teams offshore from U.S. somewhere. Last I heard California was on a warpath to passing laws similar to Europe...that seems to be what most developers are set on doing. Ramping off to go outside Calirfornia or or offshore to reduce costs.Twitch twitch, I don’t need to play EQ for 36 hours.
Everything is down 24 hours, eq is down longer as they're combining regular patch and some other stuffNot sure I’ve ever seen this before but now the forum header is stating that’s it’s only 24 hours! Bit late for an April’s fools joke Darkpaw....or is it??
Whoa whoa Ladon...it's only been a couple of hrs. with no EQ...I'm worried, you going to make it? Your sarcasm indicator is reading at 120/10...lolYeah, it's disgusting that California-- as one of the largest economies in the world on its own-- wants to provide its workers with the same style of protections as Europe offers. How very dare they. Frankly, as a temporarily embarrassed millionaire myself, I'd prefer if we all remained subservient to our corporate overlords so that one day I can get my piece of the pie and then step on other people. I'm even offended that they passed GDPR-lite and now I have to deal with a cookie pop-up on most websites!
Gay space socialism for all-- we're still in talks to rent out those Jewish Space Lasers to eradicate the bourgeois using the Zion Cannon.

You mean they are changing the Hamsters. I guess the old ones are getting worn out.Yes, I believe they are moving all their games to new hardware. Possibly a new datacenter?
You’re both wrong, they’re just painting the hamster cage...move alongOr putting the old, tired hamsters on new wheels.
hi, Im very new to this....any idea how long until mq2 is patched? just curious as to when i can update it.
Redbot said and I quote "ZZZZZ...zzzz..ZZZZZZZZZZZ"...Just kidding! We all know Redbot never sleeps.Normally several hours.
However, this requires a couple of things as key events.
One, is someone like EqMule to react and see that the live patch is delivered (early) and commence work. He may have been expecting to wait some more hours to start, and not noticed yet. Or has already started, I don't know.
Two, once the macroquest core has been updated with what we can describe as 'data offset' changes from last build to this built, they are posted centrally. Then RedBot gets a chance to react to that, and download the updates and start the rebuild of RG VV MQ2 for live.
I'd guesstimate a few hours away yet.
