Question - Berserker or Rogue (1 Viewer)

So I'm getting a bit bored of Phinigel and because of this I'm ready to get my live server crew up and running again. However, I've decided to replace my Monk (previous main) with a new Rogue or Zerker since I've never played one of the "pure" melee DPS classes and I'm beyond bored of Monk after all these years playing it.

The rest of my group is: SK/Shm/Brd/Clr/Wiz

I'm not so worried about their relative AFK botting performance because I find tuning that to be very enjoyable - I even had my monk doing very respectable DPS!

My biggest concerns are with their overall performance when played to peak and any special case utility. Thanks for any input you guys may have!

Haha in that fight I'm pretty sure the bard was mezzing/remezzing adds. The bard will do 20-25k DPS all day when I turn off his mezzing and just face tank my pulls, even 50k+ on some burns!

Thank god.. I was going to hang my head in shame for what the bard has become! lol

Keeping my berserker low level till I get the Tear done on him, still looking at what weapon he'll have once I have him at 105. Not looking at raid drops, cause I don't raid at all and when/if I start raiding, it'll be with my warrior.

So TDS rare, guessing Cerulean hammer is the best http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=141494;source=lucy . Getting that might be a long wait, so looking into TBM group stuff, which on all my other characters are actually better than any chase loot.

As far as I have seen, looks like Kiss of Life http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=124741 + Sulstone of Brawler http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=123654 + a type 4 dmg aug http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=125283 + a type 5 dmg aug http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=24248 will be 80+185+18+4=287, so 287/30. Didn't really add up the ac, hp, endurance, but should be something like 180ish AC and 5500ish HME. Not bad at all. For group gear. The TDS rare is 283/30, slightly better HME, not sure about what else. Think I'll be happy with the TBM 2hander.

Yeah mine has a Cerulean hammer. Seems to be the best attainable non-raid weapon.

That raw emerald appears to have a minimum delay of 40 by the way.

For 1 handers, TBM weapons were substantially better than the best Chase loot that I know of...for dmg/delay. Looks like for 2 handers, TBM is only slightly better for dmg/dly.

My Cerulean hammer is 299/30 with a 16 dmg aug in it. Would be 301/30 with your 18 dmg aug.

Still though, it's not a significant difference at all. Also is the fact that during normal grinding, only about 35-40% of my zerker's damage is actually from his weapon. On burns it depends how hard Dicho hits, but it can be only a tiny portion of his damage.

I wouldn't sweat that 15 dmg difference when the hammer is so hard to get. I'm actually wishing now that I'd put it on my SK, because about 80% of his DPS is coming from his weapon lol.

True. I guess you could say I'm still holding out hope for a Percutio to drop for me. I've gotten almost every other rare weapon so far, and my SK currently has Secare and Sentio until I can get the TBS rare 1h and Percutio.

Pulled wizard out to level a new ranger and my SK is pulling even further ahead with longer fight times.
