A buddy was helping me raid my box crew and he asked me if I was using MQ2next. The bottom right icon says macro quest. Is Next something that I need to migrate to?

My apologies for this stupid question. I use all plugins and having a blast, but maybe I'm behind times and should download this next?

Solution
MQ2 was the old version, its development was abandoned a while ago. It does not work anymore. You'll only find it in some really old copies for EQ Emulator clients.

while MQ2 was still around (circa 2019) a new project based on MQ2 was created, nicknamed MacroQuest "Next" as a reference to EverQuest Next.

After MQ2 died and MacroQuest "Next" was released, the "Next" was dropped. It is just called MacroQuest.

Its Just MacroQuest or MQ. There is no Next, there is no 2.
