Chanter epic 1.0. The break into Plane of Fear with a rag tag bunch of people was a quest in itself. Then spending countless deaths and 12 hours straight to get to the damn harpy. People were at wits end, but it went to show you how dedicated people were back in the day to beat this game.

Finishing my jboots back in 2001 changed my life. I had been quad kiting on my wizard without them. Looking back, I can't imagine how I ever had the patience for that.

There have been many quests that took about ages to complete but the one that truly keeps sticking in my head is the Cleric Epic 1.0 while it was still "in time".
Add to that the little fact I also camped it for a friend - luckily I had access to EQ from the office and was pretty much "boss" so nobody could complain :-)

The most satisfying quest I have ever done was for my cleric getting "Soulfire". A sub-quest for the pally epic 1.0. I did it because I was already KoS to the Freeport militia by helping other pally's kill Sir Lucan. So I just had to get soulfire for the cleric. It was great. I was the "go-to" guy for that part of the pally epic. I could single pull Lucan to outside in the newbie area without bringing every guard...this was back in 2002-2003 time frame. Great times.
