Does anyone have the client GUI version that has the list of chars to choose from on the right side of the window?
I believe it was based on that app, but it is not the same.I assume you are talking about the stand alone GUI app that I Eat Acid wrote about ~ 10 years ago ?
It is similar to that one, but on the right side of the window is a list of the chars that are logged in. I can't find the app anywhere. You talking about the one I wrote?
eqbci
Download eqbci for free. MQ2 EQBC Server Interface. It is a GUI to interface with MQ2's eqbcs server. It is written in C++ using QT for the GUI, so it's cross-platform compatible.sourceforge.net
aye ive tried all that. lol it just does nothing, even on the main toon it says it sends the commands to the connected toons, still nothing lol.try /bcaa //echo hello, or something similar. To send commands to the connected toons, do something like /bcg //target MyToon /bcg //afollow on. You have to use the double forward slashes to replace the single slashes. That being said, a lot of people have moved to using dannet, as it is a peerless server.
Here is the link to the commands: https://www.redguides.com/community/resources/mq2eqbc.120/

That is what it says when you start EQBCS. Now connect your toon(s) ingame.Mine is saying "Waiting for connections on port: (numbers). Am I doing something wrong? I couldn't find that in the video
It's been a long time since i have used EQBCS but i think the ingame command is /bccmd connectAnd I thought it wasn't working because the 2nd window never popped up to ask if I wanted to do standalone
Ah ok, well I got my main tank to connect but it won't connect any of the other chars now. Not sure whyIt's been a long time since i have used EQBCS but i think the ingame command is /bccmd connect
Run /bccmd connect on all toons. I think I recall there being a way to save so you aren't doing that every time you log in.Ah ok, well I got my main tank to connect but it won't connect any of the other chars now. Not sure why
I'd ensure you're trying to connecting to where you want (check instructions).I just bought a new laptop and when i try to load BCCMD it says it is trying to connect, but then I get the message "Could not connect". Is there a setting somewhere I need to edit for my new laptop?
Any chance your VPN is on and not configured? I was using mine the other day and forgot to turn it off as I haven't configured it for MQ use. It took me a bit to figure out why my toons were not communicating. Not sure where to start because I've never had an issue with EQBCS. All my toons are on the same PC. BCS is running and all toons are connected. However, commands are broken. /bct and the like do not work. Making it about impossible to control my group. I changed nothing so I'm not sure how to fix this. I've restarted my PC and router, made sure the plugin is running and toons are connected. Not much else I can do.
No, I do not use a VPN at all.Any chance your VPN is on and not configured? I was using mine the other day and forgot to turn it off as I haven't configured it for MQ use. It took me a bit to figure out why my toons were not communicating.
I did that and this is all that the EQBCS .INI File says ....is this correct (See Below)?? I never looked at it before now, so ...I never changed anything. I was working on finishing up the final touches in the Guild Buff Assistant and when I ran a test on my Shaman, this is when everything went wrong. Not only did the EQBCS issue happen but something seriously went haywire with my graphics, mainly on my toons visual. All of my toons look like they are wearing level 10 gear ...you remember the gear that we used to die to make them look the way we wanted them? Nothing is changed in the settings, that I can tell, but when I did the /mac buffbot on my Shaman, I saw a very long string of commands scroll up the MQ2 Window and it was then that all the visual problems started.Make sure it is allowed via your windows permissions
