Software RGManager (beta) discussion (1 Viewer) v1.6.0.9

Ionis, is there a way to sort the download column? IE hit download, and you can flip flop Up to date and what needs to be downloaded?
Not at this current time, this was planned for the advanced filtering features before official development on new features was, unfortunately, halted.

I, hopefully, plan to still implement the advanced filtering features over the course of the next couple of months but, outside of what is launching next week & bug fixing, I've been directed to move most of my time on to a separate project.

So, while I can't give a 100 % as far as a timeframe for the release of advanced filtering, I do still plan to develop more on it (as well as the Manager as a whole) just more or less on my own time as opposed to working hours.

In short, the framework has been in the works but development on it was frozen. I still plan to finish it up sometime after the next patch and release it as well as other QoL user-requested features but there's no ETA on those patches that I can confidently share yet.

Glad to know it's in the pipeline! Thanks Ionis!

Sorry about the delay for the update folks!

Since a lot of my focus will shift after this patch, I wanted to throw in some extra stuff while I had the time between projects so I delayed the push a little longer just to get even more suggestions in.

Planning to have it out before the end of November with as many of the suggested changes/features as I possibly can (without blowing everything up!).

As a side note, some folks have expressed concern to me over the project being cancelled or no longer receiving updates after the coming one. I wanted to clarify that, outside of maintenance, development on features during my working hours has been frozen. Updates and such will still be coming I will just be working on the project in my free time.

However, this does mean updates will be considerably slower, but I still plan to work on things that folks requested/suggested over time!

Apologies again, suspension waves have pushed up the deadline of a different project so I had to dedicate this week to getting a public release ready ASAP.

Expect the next update by the end of the first week of December, thank you all so much for your patience and I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may cause!

Hey!

It's been a while, sorry about that! I had been spending most of my time working on the IonBC 2 Experimental these past few months and sort of went silent on the Manager, that's my fault!

Truth is the Manager went through a bit of a shift that left me feeling stuck with it's development. On one hand I really loved what we achieved with it but on the other hand it was such a crazy ambitious project that there was no way the development cycle it was following was going to work.

I've spent the past couple of months blackboarding a concept for the next stage in the Manager's development. It's taken me a while but I'm just about ready to start development on it here in a couple weeks. I'm not sure yet if this will end up being it's own separate resource, think RGManager 2 in a way (working title, don't quote me on that!), or not yet but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

Anyhow, I'll update everyone when I have a framework to show off! In the meantime, if you have any issues with RGManager please don't hesitate to let me know!

I had a similar thought. We need to devise a better way to see "up to date", "needs update", "purchase", "download", etc. Also have a color system similar to the existing maybe? Red for update needed, green = up to date, blue= <purchase>, etc.

and sort, but I think that was mentioned already.
Sweet, you 'do' read minds, haha.
